Menu is limited, the site is beautiful by the water.
Soooo... let me save you some confusion: it's inside the national park. We couldn't figure out how to get to the restaurant as none of the roads would take you back to it...then Google maps took us past it to the nature loop...it was hot, it was after 2pm, the kids we starving, and their parents were in quite a state too. Park at the visitors center, pay your entrance fee, walk back to the restaurant, and be happy. The food is fine. No complaints. There was enough peanut butter on my 4yo's sandwich for 4 sandwiches, but whatev. Everyone survived.
What a delightful surprise! Sandwiches are delicious and very hearty. Great sides -marinated carrots and potato salad were great. So was the service. Will definitely eat here again. Not what you would expect at a National Park.
Get the pecan bar! It's awesome!
Great place! Food was excellent. Loads of gluten free options. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent sandwiches
Loved the food and the location in the James River.
5 star restaurant quality food for an affordable price! This hidden gem is definitely worth checking out! The staff were lovely and the food was phenomenal!!!
Enjoying Ice Tea, after trip through Old Jamestown, VA.😎ðŸ™ðŸ»ðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸
Hands down the best food I had all weekend
Excellent food and drink right on the James River in Jamestown. Terrific and helpful staff.
The National Park Service leases this cafe to a local restaurant named Carrot Tree. There's a lot of tasty, healthy options with tea, coffee, and beer available to order. We tried the U.S. Grant wrap with apple cider vinaigrette instead of the Bleu cheese dressing and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and there was splendid outdoor seating near the riverfront. We were quite impressed with this place and definitely recommend it!
Nice place. Prices are reasonable for a tourist place. And the refills on the iced teas are awesome
Great complex sandwiches. Those with picky eaters will still be good-to-go as they were very accommodating with leaving off requested ingredients.
Charming, friendly restaurant with water views and a nice variety of items. Several delicious vegetarian options, plus homemade soups and desserts.
Delicious
Delicious sandwiches made with quality ingredients in a cool and cozy atmosphere. A nice place to sit and rest after walking through Jamestown.
A really great place to get a little snack. The sandwiches are really good and they have free water. The staff were okay but were pretty unfriendly and seemingly angry
Very fresh food.
Service was great and very friendly
How thoughtful to put a cafe. Lemonade is fresh and made on the spot.
The hours on the door said they served until 4. The (quite rude) gentleman inside said that he would not serve after 3:30.
Small but decent food selection; fairly healthy options to include Gluten-Free (if needed), a couple vegetarian choices, select adult libations, various homemade desserts, and plenty of other beverages from juices to hot teas. Indoor seating area simple but outdoor patio is highly recommended for the views alone! Tables are both in covered area and out in the open. There are also picnic tables adjacent to back patio and shaded under large tree. Area is crowded during tourist season but I initially visited in March and loved the lack of people and the solitude of a few select visitors at the cafe where I could enjoy my meal with minimal interruptions or distractions while touring the grounds. Would recommend a visit to this cafe for light lunch fare.
this is the café that is inside the national Park. It is very cute, the food was a unique blend. A lot of it I believe was pre-prepared but it was still very tasty.. there is a beautiful patio to sit outside there are also restrooms... it is a nice little café considering it is inside of national Park not all of them are as nice as the S
Great coffee.
Stopped by here to get out of a storm and have a quick snack. Nice staff, Clean bathrooms and vegan & gluten free options. They also have complementary water. Beautiful look over the lake as well.
Great wraps with a great view
Pleasantly surprised with a really good, very large homemade sandwich with fresh ingredients. It was perfect for a quick eat while looking at history along the colonial trail all day. Now, this certainly would not be a destination place, however if you're on the long history trail stop in here and grab a sandwich and drink. Service was really good as well.
Great and friendly staff. Good food.
Lots of options. Vegetarian and vegan options
This is a little nice cute cafe. I went here to eat lunch while exploring Jamestown. I do not recall the exact name of the wrap I ordered but it was turkey with avocado and it was extremely good.
Stopped in for a quick lunch! I got a chicken salad sandwich and a bottle of water. The sandwich was really good but it came with a spinach orzo salad that I wasn't a big fan of. Over all, everything and the women working inside were amazing!
